ABOUT THE ARTIST
I
purchased my first camera when I was 14, an ancient used Stereo Realist that
allowed me to take three dimensional pictures. Over the many years that
have followed, my interest in photography remained unabated, as was my
inclination to explore alternative photographic processes.Ê That predilection was stoked by courses
I took at the Maryland Institute College of Art, particularly those
involving the creative use of Polaroid materials.Ê I find that the painterly quality of
alternative photographic processes lends itself to the subject matter of
my images, and in particular to the places in the world to which I like
to travel.Ê I intend on continuing
to travel and communicate through photography, until… well, until
I can not.
